Police in Lancaster arrested one man after he is caught chatting online about having sex acts with a juvenile girl who was actually a West Lampeter township detective posing as a girl.

Police first learned of the incident from the undercover detective on July 24th. That detective says he was posing as a juvenile girl online while chatting with 24-year-old Kristopher Steninger of the 1500 block of Braxton Drive in Lancaster.

According to  detectives Steninger was talking about having sexual contact with the girl  and sending pornographic images and video to the  “juvenile girl.”

After further investigation, police found that Steninger is from West Lampeter Township and a Special Investigations unit began assisting. Steninger was also chatting to another undercover police officer posing as a juvenile girl. During both online interactions he expressed  interest in meeting both juvenile girls to have sex.

Police say that Steninger set up  to meet with one of the juvenile girls at the food court in Park City Mall in Lancaster on Wednesday.

Steninger went to mall and while waiting was approached by  three Lancaster City detectives and Officer Heinly from W. Lampeter Township Police who arrested him without incident and transported to the Lancaster City Police station.

Steninger  now faces the following felony charges: Criminal Attempt to commit Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse, Statutory Sexual Assault, Indecent Assault, Unlawful Contact with a Minor, Criminal Use of a Communication Facility.

Steninger was arraigned  and committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail.
