bank robbery

A man in a Ravens shirt robbed a bank in Manchester Township this morning, and investigators are trying to find out if it’s the same bandit who robbed two banks in the Hanover area.

At about 10:08am, a panic alarm went off at the Metro Bank located at 55 Arsenal Road. Police say the suspect entered the bank and approached a teller.  He handed the teller a note demanding money.  No weapon was displayed, but the suspect did threaten to harm people in the bank if his demands were not met, according to police.

The teller complied with the demands on the note and the suspect fled the bank on foot, running towards North George Street with a yet to be determined amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20′s to early 30′s,  about 6′ tall, of a medium build, wearing a purple long sleeve Baltimore Ravens shirt, a camo ball cap.

Investigators are attempting to determine if this robbery is related to two recent robberies in the Hanover area.

The investigation into this incident continues.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Northern York County Regional Police Department at 717-292-3647, through 911, or use the crime tip reporting portion of this website.
