AUGUST DAY: We’re awaiting our next cold front to arrive tonight, and ahead of it we get a bit more heat. It feels more like you’d expect for August today, with highs topping out in the upper 80s. Humidity is on the low end of the muggy scale, but it’s still going to feel a bit sticky. We’re mostly sun y with patchy for to start. Clouds will build later in the day. A few showers or thunderstorms are possible too. Tonight, we cloud up again with a chance for some showers in spots. Lows drop to the middle 60s.
FRONT PASSING: The cold front passes through early Wednesday, slowly. This keeps us mostly cloudy and gives us the shot at scattered showers and a rumble or two early. Highs are held back in the lower 80s. The front clears late and shuts off the rain chances with it.
MILD AGAIN: As the front passes, we’ll see a gradual clearing of clouds on Thursday. Friday looks mostly sunny. Both days feature below average temperatures, with highs topping out only near 80°, with lower humidity.
WEEKEND WOES: We’re watching this changeable forecast very closely. High pressure will hang on for the weekend, but how strong it is and where the energy aloft slides through will ultimately determine how wet or dry the weekend will be. We’re holding dry weather for now with partly cloudy skies rolling in through Sunday. Highs hit the lower to middle 80s. A slow moving storm system is very close by to our south and the models continue to trend northward with it. This may bring more clouds, lower temperatures, and rain into the picture. We’ll continue to monitor the trends.
Make it a terrific Tuesday!
