A York man accused of fatally shooting 23-year-old Dashaun David on July 19 has been extradited back to Pennsylvania, prosecutors confirmed Wednesday.

Jeffrey A. Reid, 27,  was brought to the commonwealth from Virginia and taken to York County Prison without bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 16.

Reid was arrested last week in Richmond, Va., by members of the U.S. Marshal Service.  Authorities also arrested Reid’s ex-girlfriend, Karina DeJesus, 23. She is accused of helping Reid flee from police. DeJesus is expected to return to Pennsylvania in the near future. She is charged with hindering the apprehension of a suspect.

Reid along with three others are charged with criminal homicide and conspiracy in killing Davis, who was shot along the 200 block of Union Street.

Court documents identify Reid’s accomplices as his girlfriend, Shonique Smith-Hanna, 24;  Naquan Kiyauntr Coakley, 22; and  Malik Cortray Williams, 18, all of York.

The four face additional charges in connection with the attempted home invasion and robbery in the 600 block of West Philadelphia Street and in the 400 block of Market Street on the night Davis was murdered.
