A Lancaster City man is charged with threatening to kill Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane. The AG’s office contacted Lancaster City Police yesterday regarding a threat made to Kane and another employee in the AG’s office.

That employee had answered a call at about 5:20 pm Wednesday from a man, identified later as Robert Michael Bourne. Bourne allegedly threaten over the phone that he intended to travel to Harrisburg today in order to kill the Attorney General and the person who answered his call.

Investigation subsequently learned that Bourne had made the call from a location along the 600 block of North Market Street in the city. A warrant was issued for Bourne’s arrest and he was taken into custody.

Following arraignment, Bourne was committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $250,000 bail.
