People in Lancaster County got the chance to step back into the 18th century on Sunday.

The historic Rock Ford Plantation in West Lampeter Township is offering its second Sunday Living History event called “Leisure Activities of the 18th Century.”

The plantation was built in 1805 by Revolutionary War General Edward Hand.

Reenactors showcase games and lunch all in 18th century style which means no technology– giving visitors a look at life without a smartphone.

“People do realize that there’s a lot of value in that  more face to face interaction and it’s a special time so, we like to remind people of that,” Pamela Stoner, a volunteer at the plantation, said.

The series will be held through October.
