A boil water advisory went into effect on Monday for parts of Manheim Borough, Lancaster County.  The borough’s water authority initiated the advisory for properties within the North Grant Street project area, North Clay Street from Gramby Street to Twilight, as well as West Chestnut Street and Gramby Street from Grant to Penn.

Affected properties are requested to bring water used for consumption to a rolling boil for one minute prior to use. The advisory was prompted by a valve and hydrant repair and replacement project. The boil water advisory will remain in effect through Friday, August 15.

The Mainheim Borough Authority supplies public water service to approximately 3,000 customers in the borough and Penn Township.
