Ismael B. Seals, 34, a former Behavioral Specialist at the Paramount Academy in Reading, is arrested on a fugitive warrant in Syracuse, New York. Seals, of Philadelphia, was wanted in connection with an assault on a 17 year old student at the school last April.
The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Department and deputy U.S. Marshals took Seals into custody with incident just before 11 am Tuesday. He is being held in the Onongada County Justice Center pending an extradition hearing.
Charges filed in Berks County include, Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Unsworn Falsification to Authorities, Endangering the Welfare of Children, Intimidation, Retaliation or Obstruction in Child Abuse Case and Person Required to Report Suspected Child Abuse.
Seals was fired from Paramount Academy in April.
