Berks Co. drug trafficking suspect arrested in Arizona

Maurice Price, 36 of Lancaster, one of four remaining fugitives from a June 24th drug round up in Berks County is arrested by deputy U.S. Marshals in Maricopa County, Arizona. Price, along with three unidentified suspects, was taken into custody at an apartment in the 600 block of W. Baseline Road in Tempe, Arizona.

The Marshals also recovered numerous guns which included a rifle, two Mac 10’s equipped with silencers, a semi-automatic handgun, high grade marijuana, cash, and drug paraphernalia.

The Berks County drug roundup dubbed “Operation Tourniquet” focused on the distribution of heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana and prescription medications within Berks County, Lancaster County and Schuylkill County.

During that investigation, over 18 search warrants were served and the following items were seized: 12 firearms (assault rifles, shotguns and semi-automatic handguns), vehicles used by drug suspects, cellular phones, heroin with the street worth of $30,000, marijuana, synthetic marijuana, cocaine and drug related paraphernalia.

The following individuals from Operation Tourniquet remain at large:
