Trooper Joshua Kim was driving on I-95 on Saturday when he saw a man walking in the southbound lanes, said a State Police spokesperson.

The 24-year-old Kim, said he saw the man walking on the bridge with his car parked a short distance away.

“I knew something wasn’t right, so I called it in,” Said Kim.

The video shows the man beginning to climb over the side barrier of the bridge, which is about 90 feet above the Susquehanna River.

But the part of the bridge the man was at, had only land below and train tracks that run along the river.

Officer Kim said that he grabbed the man low on his body so that he didn’t pull them both over if he continued to jump. He also said the he handcuffed the man “for his safety and my safety.”

The man was taken to a local hospital for observation, but was not charged.

He later thanked the officer for saving his life.
