More than 50 cats were being evaluated Wednesday after they were seized from a home in York City.
The York County SPCA began removing the cats from the home, located in the first block of South Penn Street, on Tuesday.
Authorities said the animals were seized after a neighbor recently complained about the animals possibly being neglected, and officials launched an investigation.
The animals are now in protective custody at the York County SPCA.
It remains unclear if the owner will face any charges.
