Convicted killer Jodi Arias was back in court Wednesday.
She is asking for a delay in the sentencing phase of her retrial.
During Wednesday’s court appearance, Arias’ discussed her frustrations in trying to represent herself while in jail.
She says she has been unable to interview an expert witness and file motions because she is locked up.
Also, during the hearing Arias’ told the judge she would cease to represent herself if defense attorney Kirk Nurmi is removed from the case.
Nurmi led the defense in Arias’ first trial.
Currently, he is acting as Arias’ advisory counsel.
Jury selection for Arias’ retrial is set to begin on September 9th.
