Two passersby come to the aid of an attempted robbery victim in York County. It happen Sunday in the first block of Baltimore Street in Glen Rock. The female victim was walking along the street when a man approached and attacked her from behind.
The assailant grabbed the victim’s purse pulling it away from her. The victim fought back trying to hold onto her purse. The assailant struck the victim in her ribs several times during the struggle.
He was overpowering the victim when two men driving by witnessed the incident. The men stopped and helped the victim and detained the assailant until police arrived. The victim and her two rescuers suffered minor injuries from the struggle with the assailant.
The suspect was identified by police as Patrick Allen Dent, of Parkton, Maryland. Charges against Dent include Robbery, Simple Assault, Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Mischief. Following arraignment he was sent to York County Prison in lieu of $150,000 bail.
