Capital Area Transit (CAT) management and union representatives reach a deal in principle on a new contract. That is according to CAT General Manager, Bill Jones and Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1436 President John Keller.”
“We have reached an agreement in principle pending approval by the CAT board of directors and the full union membership.” Jones said.
“Contract details will not be discussed until the tentative agreement has been approved by both parties.” Keller added, “This eliminates the need for arbitration.”
CAT is expected to release more information following a vote on the proposed pact by the union rank and file.
