A Mechanicsburg woman is sent to jail for two burglary incidents in York County. On Thursday, August 14, Fairview Township Police responded to a call at a mobile home along the 500 block of Old York Road for a burglary.

Nicole A. Desimone, 32, used to reside at the home, but had moved out. She returned and gained entry into the mobile home. While inside she allegedly did significant damage to its contents.

The next day, Friday August 15, Township Police responded to a call at the same address. When police arrived on the scene they found Desimone parked outside. She was in the driver’s seat with the engine off. When officers attempted to speak to her, she started the car and attempted to drive away. It became apparent to police that Desimone was under the influence of alcohol.  Officers restrained Desimone through the open driver’s window and were able to turn motor the off. Desimone was then taken into custody.

Charges against Desimone include Burglary, Criminal Mischief and Criminal Trespass.  Charges for DUI are pending the results of her blood alcohol test.
