Police in Dauphin County investigate a series of burglaries in Lower Paxton Township.  The burglaries happened overnight along the 700 block of Rockford Drive. Police say a home was burglarized some time between 11:30 pm Tuesday night and 6 am this morning, while the residents were asleep. A door was entered and a Coach purse and a work bag were stolen from the kitchen.  A car in the driveway was also entered and a pair of Wayfarer sunglasses were stolen.

During that same time period on the same block a screen door was cut in an attempt to enter a home. Nothing was missing from that property. Other vehicles on the block were entered but nothing of note was stolen.  A burglary of an attached garage on the 6200 block of Bluestone Avenue was also reported. A red Craftsman air compressor was stolen.

Last Saturday morning, a burglary was reported at a business in the same neighborhood. A red Ford F-250 pickup with an auxiliary gas tank in the bed was stolen. That vehicle has not been recovered.

Anyone with information on the burglaries is asked to contact Lower Paxton Police at (717) 657-5656 or the anonymous Tip-Line at (717) 724-8317.
