A 56-year-old man was convicted Thursday of beating a Harrisburg man to death with a hammer. Jonathan Cornish, of Harrisburg, was sentenced to life in prison for killing 50-year-old Jose Vazquez in February 2013.
Authorities say Vazquez had invited Cornish into his home along the 1500 block Vernon Street when Cornish beat him to death with a hammer.
A Dauphin County jury found Cornish guilty of first degree murder following a four day trial.
