FAIRVIEW TWP., Pa. (WPMT)- A man trying to elude Fairview Township police early Saturday jumped into the Yellow Breeches Creek after being found with marijuana, authorities said.

Joshua P. Ebur, 32, is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest.

Officers responded to the area of Miramar Street and Umberto Avenue for a report of an unconscious male inside a car around 2:45 a.m.

Police observed Ebur unconscious in the passenger side front seat of the vehicle. Next to Ebur, in plain view, was drug paraphernalia, investigators said.

Officers awoke Ebur and discovered he was also in possession of marijuana.

As police attempted to take Ebur into custody–he pulled away and ran into the Yellow Breeches Creek.

Ebur was eventually captured after being tasered twice, police said.

He was taken to the York County Booking Center where he posted $5,000 bail.
