Today, thousands of people are expected to gather in Ferguson, Missouri.
The funeral for 18-year-old Michael Brown will take place later this morning.
He was the unarmed teen who was shot and killed by a police officer earlier this month.
Reverend Al Sharpton will deliver the eulogy at a church in St. Louis.
The White House is sending three officials to the service.
Brown’s father spoke to people at a rally yesterday.
He asked them not to protest today.
Michael Brown Sr. said, “All I want is peace while my son is being laid to rest. Can you please take a day of silence so we can lay our son to rest? Please. That’s all I ask. And thank you.”
The deadly shooting of Michael Brown by Officer Darren Wilson sparked protests which sometimes led to clashes between police and protesters.
