Kids Left in Hot Cars Do Not Mix

Police in Lebanon are filing charges against a man and woman they say left four kids in a hot car in July. It happened on July 10th. members of an ambulance crew passed  a vehicle parked in the lot at 9th and Cumberland Streets. Four children were sitting in the car with the windows up and the engine not running, so they were not sitting in air conditioning. The temperature that day was in the mid-80’s. When the ambulance drove by again 25 minutes later, the children were still sitting in the car. The crew stopped and got the kids, ages 2, 3, 9 and 10, out of the car and called police. It was another five or ten minutes until the parents returned to the car.

Police charged Crystal Rodriguez and Juan Garcia with Endangering the Welfare of Children and Leaving a Child Unattended in a Motor Vehicle.
