PEAK:  We've been ramping up for this through the week, and today our highs peak in the upper 80s to near 90°.  The humidity is up a bit today as well.  Expect mostly sunny skies early, with partly cloudy skies later and the chance for some storms after 2PM.  A cold front will push through, helping to fire some of those afternoon storms.  Some storms could produce gusty, damaging winds.  The front passes today, allowing cooler and drier air to slide back in for Thursday.

COOL DOWN:  We’re less humid and sunny again for Thursday.  The cooler blob of air settles in to close out the week.  Highs Thursday settle near 80°.  Friday, sun greets us with high clouds filtering the sun through the day.  Highs are in the low 80s.

HOLIDAY WEEKEND:  Warmer air begins its northward march this weekend.  Saturday, it’s a bit warmer and humid again with highs in the middle 80s.  We could see a stray shower or storm fire, but it’s looking mostly dry for now.  Sunday, it’s hotter as warmer air surges north.  Highs are nearing 90° under mostly cloudy skies.  A cold front approaches and will help to fire some storms.  We keep with warm and humid for Monday, with the shot at some storms during the day.  It doesn’t look like a full day of wet weather though. Highs hit the middle 80s.

TROPICS: Cristobal passes well east of the US and well west of Bermuda today.  Then, it speeds up and follows a path through the open water into the North Atlantic for the weekend.

PSU:  It’s time for football again!  Penn State is taking on the University of Central Florida in Dublin, Ireland Saturday.  The Croke Park Classic starts at 1:30PM Ireland time, which means an early wake up for an 8:30AM kickoff time for U.S. east coasters.  The forecast looks mild with temps in the middle 60s for the game.  It’s partly cloudy and a bit breezy with a west wind at 10-20mph.  Let’s Go State!
