MILD END: After a hot & stuffy Wednesday, we’re in for a few days of more comfortable air. High pressure continues to glide in, bringing us mostly sunny skies today and highs closer to 80°. It’s mild and dry. Overnight, it cools off to the middle 50s, with comfy sleeping weather again. We’ll repeat the performance for Friday, with some more clouds later with highs near 80°.
FOOTBALL: Friday night football looks wonderful! Temps will slip into the low 70s and upper 60s. It’s mostly clear to partly cloudy and dry too.
Penn State kicks off the season against UCF in Dublin , Ireland at 8:30AM (that’s 1:30PM in Ireland). The game looks mild and dry. It’s partly cloudy with temps in the low 60s and a westerly breeze.
HOLIDAY WEEKEND: We start to warm back up as we move into the long weekend. Saturday, highs bump to the middle 80s under partly to mostly cloudy skies. A few storms are possible, but most of us are dry. Sunday, a front approaches and will help to bring some more clouds and the chance for some storms later in the day. Highs push toward 90°. We’re partly cloudy and warm for Labor Day. Highs hit the upper 80s. We could see a couple of storms fire too, but it’s not an all day thing.
BEACH: The beach forecast looks pretty good. It’s mild along the shores. Sunshine looks like a good bet, with highs in the upper 70s Friday & Saturday and low to middle 80s for Sunday and Monday. Best chance for a few storms will be on Labor Day. Waves are 2-5 feet and it’s a bit breezy at times. Water temps are in the middle 70s. Rip current risks fade after Friday. Enjoy your sandy bliss!
NEXT WEEK: It stays hot and muggy for the first half of the week. We’re talking upper 80s with partly cloudy skies and humid air. Another front is pegged to move through for midweek, which bumps up rain chances Tuesday before clearing Wednesday.
