Police: String of robberies could be connected in Hampden Twp. and Camp Hill

Two robberies that occurred in Cumberland County within the past 24 hours have police working to see if the same man could be behind both crimes.

The first robbery happened at the A+ Sunoco gas station at 32nd and Market Streets in Camp Hill late Wednesday night.

The second happened at the Rite Aid located along the 4900 block of Carlisle Pike in Hampden Township  just before 6 a.m. on Thursday.

According to police, a man approached the sales counter with a soft drink and cigarettes.

He told the clerk he had a weapon and demanded money from the cash register, police said.  He fled the store with an undetermined amount of cash and cigarettes.

Investigators believe the man was riding a motorcycle. He is described as a white male in his 40′s.
