York Police officer involved in traffic crash


A York Police officer was involved in a traffic crash in the city Saturday night.

It happened shortly after 8 p.m. at the intersection of South Penn and West Princess Streets. Witnesses say three vehicles; a sedan, an SUV and the police cruiser were involved. The sedan fled the area. A rear passenger in the SUV was taken to the hospital with injuries.

There is no word on whether the officer was injured.
