Two illegal aliens face separate indictments for violating the nation’s immigration laws. The charges were brought today in federal court in Harrisburg by agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Removal Operations (ERO).

According to his indictment, Juan Torres-Garcia, 33,  previously arrested and deported in 2008, knowingly and unlawfully re-entered the United States.  Torres-Garcia was arrested in York.  If convicted he faces a maximum sentence of up to two years’ imprisonment and a $250,000 fine.

A federal grand jury also indicted Marcelo Barrano-Ramirez, 25, who had been previously deported in April 2007. He re-entered the U.S. illegally and was arrested in Adams County.

Barrano-Ramirez, also faces up to two years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine.
