State police in Gettysburg are investigating an incident after they say someone threw a metal horse head through the front door of a church.

The incident happened in the early morning hours on August 31 at Mountain Top Ministries on Church Road in Franklin Township, Adams County.

According to police, someone grabbed the decorative horse head from the property and intentionally threw it into the glass section of the door.

Damage is estimated at about $400.00 police said.
