SWATARA TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WPMT)-Authorities arrested a Harrisburg man Friday who allegedly tried to rape a woman at knife point in Swatara Township.
Police have charged 27-year-old Zubair Taalibud-Deen with aggravated assault, attempted rape, robbery and reckless endangerment. He is being held on $50,000 bail.
Officers were called to the 400 block of Eisenhower Boulevard around 11 a.m. for a report of an assault. According to police, the woman said a man held a knife to her throat and tried to rape her.
Authorities identified Taalibud-Deen as the suspect and, with help from Susquehanna Township police, arrested him around 12:35 p.m. in the parking lot of the Oakhurst Plaza.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 15.
