Firefighters relieved of their duties because of American flag stickers

Four Illinois firefighters say they have been relieved of their duties because they refused to remove American flag decals from their helmets and lockers.

It’s a symbol of American freedom decals from their helmets and lockers. Four Maywood firefighters say they have been off the job after refusing to remove patriotic stickers and decals they cherish including the American flag.

The Maywood fire chief says the order rose out of a banish inappropriate messages. On September 4th, the chief says the department issued a memo that any and all stickers or decals be removed from lockers and helmets including the American flag.
