Harrisburg Police are investigating an early morning homicide that occurred along the 300 block of South 14th Street.

Officials say police were called to the area for shots fired just before 2:30a.m. Saturday. When they arrived they found a male victim on the street with a gunshot wound to the body.

The victim was transported to Harrisburg Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The victim is identified as 23-year-old Charles Tate. A memorial has been set up in Tate's honor at the spot where he was found.

So far police have made no arrests.
