This is one of the best videos we’ve seen all day.
A pre-surgery pep talk between an NFL player and his daughter.
Devon Still is a defensive lineman for the Cincinnati Bengals who played college ball for Penn State.
His 4-year-old daughter, Leah, is battling Cancer. Today she went in for surgery in Philadelphia.
On the way to the hospital she got a pre-game pep talk from her daddy that he posted to Instagram with the caption, “Pre-surgery pep talk…I might be nervous and scared beyond words but I’ll never let her see it..let’s get this done!”
Still also got permission from the Bengals to leave the team early this week so he could throw Leah a pre-surgery party at a movie theater in Delaware.
Leah’s fight with pediatric cancer has gained national attention. The Cincinnati Bengals are donating the proceeds from all sales of his jersey to a children’s hospital.
Before the Bengals played the Saints this year, Saints head coach Sean Payton Bought 100 Still Jerseys to help the cause.
Later in the day still posted this photo letting everyone know that surgery went ok:
After a 5hr 50min surgery the surgeon was able to remove ALL of her tumor and all of her lymph nodes and her right adrenal gland where it all started from…best news I’ve received in a long time #PrayForLeah #GodIsGood #ThanksForYourSupport
