A York Revolution player is recovering in the hospital after undergoing surgery to repair a torn ACL. It’s an injury that is making headlines.
During the 8th inning of Friday night’s game versus Sugar Land, Revs outfielder Sean Smith stepped up to the plate and hit a home run to tie the game. After hitting the ball, Smith fell to the ground. Doctors say he tore his ACL, but that did not stop him from enjoying his homer.
Smith got up and amazingly limped all the way around the bases.
The Revolution won the game 3-2.
