Man headed to trial on sexual assault charge

UPPER ALLEN, Pa.,(WPMT) – A Mechanicsburg man is headed to trial on sexual assault charges involving a young girl. Upper Allen Police began investigating an alleged sexual assault between William “Frankie” Holmes, Jr., 42 and a juvenile female in July.

Investigators learned that in May, when Holmes formerly lived in Cumberland Points Circle, he allegedly exposed himself to the girl and propositioned her for sex.

Charges against Holmes include Criminal Solicitation – Statutory Sexual Assault, Indecent Exposure, and Corruption of Minors.

Following a preliminary hearing on September 29, Holmes was bound over to stand trial in Cumberland County court.  He is currently in Huntingdon SCI on unrelated charges.
