Residents in Lower Allen Township alerted police to a suspicious man moving around houses and knocking on doors Monday night, which led to the man’s arrest.

Police found Jonathan Lenhart, 26  of Harrisburg, riding a bicycle and carrying a backpack and a trash bag with stolen items in the Cedar Cliff Manor-area.  Police received reports earlier from residents that Lenhart was knocking on houses’ back doors along Clemson Drive and Citadel Drive, police said.

Lenhart was found in possession of a computer and other stolen property from a house he had burglarized along the first block of Creek Road, police said.

Police also found Lenhart in possession of a checkbook and HP laptop with a gospel fellowship log-in screen that may be related to other burglaries.

Lenhart  is being charged with burglary and is being held in Cumberland County prison in lieu of $20,000 bail.

Anyone with additional information on the recovered property is encouraged to call Lower Allen Township Police at 171-238-9676.
