A fire in East Donegal Township, Lancaster County injured at least four people on Sunday afternoon.

Around 3 o'clock, crews were called to the fire at a barn and storage area at 275 Vinegar Ferry Road. They say fireworks kept inside that building exploded. Neighbors describe the blast as feeling "like an earthquake." The barn belongs to a commercial fireworks dealer who was preparing for his annual show slated for October 11th. Fire crews worked for hours to put out hot spots.

Police say it was a dangerous scene. "We're just making sure there's no more chance of more fireworks going off. The fireworks actually ended up in the field across the street from where this happened so we have quite an expansive scene at this point," said Lt. Stephen Englert with the Susquehanna Regional Police Department.

Police say the owner had legal permits for the fireworks. The cause of the fire and explosion are still under investigation.
