The 40th Annual Oyster Festival took over downtown York on Sunday.
The event was free and open to the public at the Agricultural and Industrial Museum.
Folks had the chance to try all kinds of oysters and other seafood, while sipping on drinks and listening to music.
"We tried everything, so I had the fried oysters, the crab sandwiches, the oyster stew but I personally like the raw oysters," said Randy Romine of Newberry Township, York County.
Dessert was also part of the menu. Festival goers were greeted by the smell of fried apples at the entrance of the museum.

Proceeds from Oyster Festival go to operations and programming at the York County Heritage Trust.
