The  proposed Atlantic Sunrise Pipeline Project is the center of debate once again in Lancaster County.

Tom Houghton -- who is running for a seat in the 16th Legislative District -- met with residents voicing their concerns in a town hall meeting Saturday afternoon.

The proposed project would build a natural gas pipeline throughout Lancaster County and would affect landowners in Martic, Conestoga and Manor Townships. During the meeting, Houghton unveiled his 10 point plan outlining specific steps -- if elected -- of how he will fight the project.

Property owners expressed their support for Houghton and his plan. "There's a wide variety of people that are on board with this opposition because so many conservatives in Lancaster County for years have been talking about getting Washington out of our business. Here's your opportunity, here's your opportunity right now to do this," said Tim Spiese, a property owner from Martic Township, protesting the pipeline project.

Houghton told residents that while he can't promise to stop the project, he will fight right beside them to try.
