Folks in Lancaster put their running shoes to the test on Saturday.
The 2nd Annual "Trick or Trot" 5K race started at the Woodward Cemetery and continued through Lancaster County Central Park in the city.
A total of 285 people, including 45 children, were encouraged to show their Halloween spirit and run in costume with awards given in several categories.

"All the kids are in costumes, and all the kids were running in their costumes, they were so cute. We have a lot of adults this year who did costumes which we didn't have last year, so it's really cool that the adults are getting into the spirit of the run as well," said Christa Miller, Health and Wellness Coordinator for Lampeter-Strasburg YMCA.
Jeff Kenderdine, President and CEO of Lancaster Family YMCA says," It really represents what the "Y" is about, partnerships with Woodward Hill Cemetery, involving the whole family around a very healthy positive activity and the whole community benefits as a result."
Proceeds from the 5K will support the Lancaster Family YMCA's Financial Scholarship Program.
Last year's event raised over $15,000 dollars.
Additional money raised will go to restoration efforts at Woodward Hill Cemetery.
