UPDATE: Monday’s launch of Orbital Sciences’ Antares rocket has been postponed to Tuesday at 6:22PM ET.

A boat inside the launch area caused the postponement, NASA reported.

This means we should see the rocket in Central Pennsylvania at 6:24PM ET.

We may have missed the partial solar eclipse at sunset last week, but we should be able to clearly see Antares rocket launch from Wallops Island in Virginia.

This graphic shows that our area in Pennsylvania will see the rocket at around 6:47PM, if the rocket launches from Wallops Island at exactly 6:45pm.

According to our sister station in Virginia, WTVR: “as an added bonus, the International Space Station is scheduled to fly over Wallops shortly after launch and will be visible for about 6 minutes. The station will become visible at 6:49 p.m., flying Northwest to Southeast with a maximum elevation of 87 degrees.”
