New details come to light in the mysterious deaths of a Utah family found in their home last month.
Police reveal details of the death in court documents obtained by our sister station Fox13, medications and cups filled with “red liquid” were discovered next to the bodies of Benjamin and Kristi Strack and their children.
“Investigators at the scene determined the cause of death to be an accidental or intentional poisoning either by ingestion or environmental causes,” police wrote.
“Kristi and Benjamin were lying in the bed and the three children were lying around the bed, covered in bedding up to their necks,” police wrote in an affidavit. “Officers reported there was a red liquid substance coming from the mouth of Kristi Strack. All the occupants of the home were non-responsive. Next to each of the victims was a cup/drink with a liquid inside.”
The victims: Benjamin Strack, 37; Kristi Strack, 36; Benson Strack, 14; Emery Strack, 12; and Zion Strack, 11, were reportedly found inside the master bedroom.
The couple’s other son went to check on the family after not hearing from them and found the bodies.
