Police: 19 year old suspect confesses to homicide in Harrisburg

Harrisburg police were dispatched to the 400 block of Hummel Street just after 2:30 a.m. Saturday for a reported shooting.

Investigators say they found 17-year-old Winston McCullough Jr. inside a home, shot in the chest.

According to police, McCullough was transported to the hospital and was pronounced dead.

Police interviewed numerous people at the scene and started their investigation. Officials say 19-year old Jabre Versance Creamer of Harrisburg confessed to the shooting at the police station.

Creamer faces charges of criminal homicide and tampering with evidence. He is awaiting arraignment at the Dauphin County Judicial Center.
