These powerlifters in York County are competing for a good cause.

"Lift To Fight Leukemia" is an event that benefits 3-year-old Trey Fry from Carlisle. Fry's uncle is a member of Moore Muscle Gym in Red Lion. After telling the owners about Trey's condition, they organized this fundraiser.  They closed the gym for part of the day, as 23 lifters -- both men and women took turns lifting weights to support Fry.

"It's a great feeling to be able to help out in the community," said Joann Moore, Co-owner of Moore Muscle.

"It almost overwhelms me how much support I'm getting and my family is getting," added Bill Garman, Fry's uncle. Garman is part of the powerlifting team known as "The Machines." Each member signed a t-shirt and made Trey an honorary member of the team -- complete with a medal.

The event raised nearly $2,500 dollars. All of the money will help pay for Fry's medical bills. If you'd like to donate, click on the following link: http://www.gofundme.com/Treys-fund
