State police in Chambersburg are investigating after 800 pounds of meat was stolen from St. Thomas United Methodist church.
Police say a storage shed next to the church, along the 300 block of St. Thomas Edenville Road in St. Thomas Township, was forced open sometime between Nov. 4 and Nov. 7.
Officials say the hamburger meat was in freezers inside the shed and was provided by the government for the needy.
