HARRISBURG, PA(WPMT)- The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and PennDOT team up to take several pieces of heavy snow removal equipment to snow bound western New York.

In response to a call for assistance from officials, the Turnpike Commission is sending an industrial size snow blower, a backhoe and several equipment operators to western New York state.  The equipment was loaded onto trailers provided by PennDOT late Wednesday afternoon.

The operators and equipment are expected to help remove some of the more than five feet of snow through the weekend.

Great news, considering that New York is currently shrouded in several feet of snow. Time to send in the excavators, snow blowers and bulldozers! We all know how difficult it is to deal with the overflow of snow, so it’s a must that we help each other out!
