Mostly clear evening but it will be brisk with temperatures falling to the upper 20s by 10pm. The winds will be gusty adding to the chill. Bundle up, it will feel like it’s in the 20’s later this evening.
High pressure builds in later in the day and helps to relax the winds. It will also clear out any clouds that bubble up in the afternoon. Highs will be well below average and very cold in the low 30s. Friday evening will be calmer but the chill remains. If you are heading out to area football games or the game of the week, Daniel Boone at Cocalico Eagles in Denver PA, Lancaster County, you will need something warm to drink and plenty of layers!
One more very cold morning Saturday with lows in the low 20s but we should rebound to near 40 by afternoon as high pressure slides east setting up a southwesterly flow. Skies will start out mostly sunny but the clouds stream in later in the day. The next system arrives Sunday along with milder temperatures. Temperatures will climb to the low 50s for the second half of the weekend which is closer to average and we are hitting low 60’s by Monday. Rain will hold off much of Sunday so plenty of dry hours to run around and get ready for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. Few showers still possible Monday. Cold front swings through late in the day allowing colder air to spill back in across the area Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures will still be seasonal Tuesday in the low 50s.
THANKSGIVING DAY HOLIDAY & TRAVEL DAY BEFORE
Wednesday, the biggest travel day right before the Thanksgiving holiday, looks dry but cooler as highs slide down to the upper 40s. It will be even colder for the holiday as the next trough deepens producing another shot of colder than average temperatures in the lower 40’s. It looks dry right now across the area but certainly colder.
