Northern York County Regional Police Board of Commissioners recognized eight officers for their efforts in apprehending a bank robber.

Officers were sent to the M & T Bank located at 425 Loucks Road in Manchester Township for a silent robbery alarm at 5:30pm on October 8, 2014.

Bank employees reported that a white male wearing a camouflage long sleeve shirt, a baseball cap, and blue jeans entered the bank and handed one of the tellers a note demanding cash. The teller complied with the demand and the man fled the bank on foot.

Witness information and other sources lead officers the the 100 block of South Pershing Avenue in York City.

Officers located the suspect at 133 South Pershing Avenue and took him into custody shortly before 6pm.

A search warrant was executed on the home and the cash and demand note were recovered.

Brian Michael Hawn, age 33 of 133 South Pershing Ave was taken to Central Booking and charged with the following offenses;

  • Robbery
  • Theft by Unlawful Taking
  • Receiving Stolen Property
