It's the day deer hunters across the state wait for all year-long; Monday is the first day of rifle deer season.
Roughly one-million hunters will hit the woods before dawn, hoping to get a buck in their sights.
Hunters have a one-in-three chance of shooting a deer during the 2-week season.
To help prepare, many hunters were out at Bass Pro Shops in Swatara Township, Dauphin County on Sunday, getting their last-minute supplies.
Top sellers this year are scent eliminators, tree stands, orange & camo clothing and hats, and for first time hunters, a smaller sized rifle.
Randy Montgomery, Operations Manager at the store says, "The hottest seller this year is the Remington 243, which is actually a youth rifle which is..  we're very happy about that because that lets us know that there is some youth getting into the sport and adults are taking their children out to introduce them to the sport of hunting."
Daniel Henson and his son were at Bass Pro getting ready for their time in the woods. They say for them, it's all about safety and time together.
"You've got to have your camouflage and you've gotta have good, warm gear to keep warm as it gets cold. My favorite part of hunting would be spending time with my boys, I have two boys, a 17-year-old and a 10-year-old who enjoy the hunting and being out in the woods spending time together and with any hope getting a shot at white tail," says Daniel.
Jordan says, "My favorite part would probably be spending time with family and just being outside enjoying nature."
The State Game Commission says about 300,000 deer will be killed this season.
Rifle deer season starts Monday, December 1st and runs through Saturday, December 13th,  with the exception of Sunday, December 7th.
In Pennsylvania, all hunters are required to wear 250-square inches of blaze orange on their chest, back and head; and it must be visible from any view.
