UPDATE:
One person is dead after a tractor trailer crashed into a building in South Middleton Township, Cumberland County.
It happened shortly after 11:00 p.m. Monday.
Officials say a tractor trailer carrying 50,000 pounds of milk was traveling northbound along Interstate 81 when it crashed into the Carlisle Regional Imaging Services and Pain Management Clinic.
As of 3:00 a.m. the tractor trailer was still 2/3 of the way lodged inside the building and tangled up with an MRI machine.
The Cumberland County Public Information Officer, John Bruetsch, says the power of the MRI machine is off, but remains highly magnetic which is making this process more difficult.
For example, when emergency crews first arrived some of their tools were being sucked in by the machine's strong magnetic force.
Bruetsch says specific crews are currently on the scene trying to control that issue.
Officials say the investigation is ongoing as to what caused the driver to lose control.
No word on the identity of the victim.
Interstate 81 is down to one lane for now but seems to be moving slowly yet steadily.
