LANCASTER CO., PA(WPMT)- A Lancaster County man is charged with 10 counts of animal cruelty in conjunction with his operation of an unlicensed puppy mill.
The Pennsylvania SPCA cited Elam Beiler of Leola with 10 summary counts of unsanitary confinement and failure to provide veterinary care for 10 Maltese and Poodle type dogs. Enforcement officers armed with a search warrant raided Beiler’s farm on Tuesday. He surrendered the dogs to the PSPCA.
The animals were taken to PSPCA’s Philadelphia facility for further evaluation and treatment to make them ready for adoption.
