EAST PENNSBORO (WPMT)-Charges were filed Monday against a Cumberland County man who police said was drunk when he crashed his bicycle along Route 11/15 last month.
Authorities charged Criss E. Gruber, 41, of Enola, with driving under the influence and violating lighting regulations.
Police responded to Route 11/15 near the first block of North Enola Road on Nov. 16 for a reported bicycle crash.
Gruber told investigators he was knocked off his bicycle after hitting a road construction sign on the shoulder of Route 11/15. Gruber’s bicycle did not have the required safety lighting, authorities said.
Police said Gruber was intoxicated at the time of the crash. His blood alcohol level was more than 0.16, according to court documents.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 23.
