It's been nearly four days since 17-year-old Medard Kowalski went missing while hunting on the Susquehanna River.

While a massive search Thursday ended in disappointment, Medard's family, dozens of volunteers and the New Cumberland River Rescue team are continuing their search Friday morning.

According to Matt Stoner, the commander of the New Cumberland River Rescue, their search will start at the New Market Boat Launch in Fairview Township and stretch about 15 miles south, passed the turnpike.

Stoner says as of Friday, the New Cumberland River Rescue will be the only team involved in the search, aside from dozens of family members and volunteers.

Stoner says the teen's canoe, which was found Tuesday, had a hole in it.

Stoner says they do not know for sure or want to speculate as far as when exactly the hole punctured the canoe, but it could give a good indication as to what might have happened Monday afternoon on the river.

Officials with the New Cumberland River Rescue say they have no plans on stopping their search anytime soon and that along with the family, they are not giving up.

As a result, New Cumberland River Rescue is canceling their annual "Breakfast with Santa" event which was originally scheduled for Saturday, December 6.

It has been postponed until December 13 from 8:00 am to 11:00 am.

Stoner says their main focus this weekend is finding Kowalski.

Volunteers and river rescue plan to search until 4:00 p.m. Friday.

They will resume Saturday morning if necessary.
